Lee Hendrie is set to end his 12-year stay with Villa .With three Championship teams from the Midlands Stoke , Coventry and Leicester all believed keen to sign him.

The 30-year-old spent most of last season on loans at Stoke and is due to meet his representatives to finalise his future on Friday.

Hendrie told the Birmingham Mail: "I don't want to speak to anyone until Friday, when I hope my agent has sorted something out for me.

"My agent has spoken to Stoke and Tony Pulis has to get back in touch with their chief executive.

"Different clubs have been mentioned but I have said my future is in their hands and I want something concrete sorted by Friday, so hopefully I will know where I stand after then."

Though perhaps rather ominously for Stoke fans when speaking to the Villa website he said: "Milan Mandaric is ambitious to take Leicester back to the Premiership and they are a big club.
